Australian Natural History Safari is a unique wildlife, rainforest and outback experience.

Your safari is restricted to a maximum of four passengers and you'll be accompanied by David Armbrust, a highly skilled naturalist guide.

The highlight of the morning is an interpretative rainforest and wildlife walk on David's home property. Here on his private walking trails at Thylogale Nature Refuge, you will encounter a host of native rainforest birds and mammals. His exclusive rainforest shelter provides an unforgettable setting for morning tea.

Afterwards, we venture along an old four wheel drive logging track to an altitude of around 1000 metres for a BBQ lunch in the wilderness. This midday location, at the junction of two rainforest mountain streams, is pleasantly cool during the hot summer months.

In the afternoon, you'll experience a distinctly different ecosystem with a visit to the open forest of the Outback. This vast, dry land scattered with termite mounds and gnarled eucalypt trees is the perfect background for afternoon tea.

Your day concludes here, relaxing under the shade of towering paperbarks on the banks of the Mitchell River.
